Built in 2015, 8 Gadwall is a gorgeous, custom-built home in Sea Pines Resort. Located in the heart of South Beach, this luxury rental features 7 bedrooms plus a private study with queen sleeper sofa, 7 full and 1 half baths and bedding for 18 guests. High end appointments and quality construction are balanced with plush furniture, cheerful colors and an open floorplan. This home offers exceptional amenities, such as private pool (can be heated for additional charge), spa, outdoor living area with fireplace and grill, and extensive balconies with sunset views.

The 1st floor of this home features a large great room with coffered ceilings, formal dining, living room and open kitchen with center island and breakfast bar. The kitchen is outfitted with GE Monogram stainless appliances, including a gas range and oven. A large laundry room, half bath and access to the garage underneath the home provide ample utility space, and direct access from the kitchen to outdoor living area provide the perfect arrangement for outdoor dining or refreshments. The fully furnished outdoor living area features a grill, fireplace and ocean views with the sounds of the pool’s waterfall feature as the perfect backdrop.

The master suite features a king bed, flat screen TV, patio access and ocean views. The large master bath has a double vanity with granite counter and walk-in shower with glass doors. Located just outside the master bedroom is a private study with queen sleeper sofa, 2 chairs, closet and flat screen TV. Guests sleeping in this private study can use the master bathroom or the other half or full baths on the first floor. Also on the 1st floor is a guest bedroom with king bed, flat screen TV and full bath with walk-in shower and entrances from the hallway or within the bedroom.

The 2nd floor features 5 bedrooms, 3 of which are part of an extensive balcony with ocean views. The oceanside bedrooms include a master suite with queen bed, TV and full bath with double vanity and walk-in shower on the left side of the home. The middle oceanside bedroom features a king bed, 2 chairs and sitting area with TV and full bath with walk-in shower, and the third oceanside bedroom features a king bed, TV and full bath with walk-in shower. Also on the 2nd floor is a kids bedroom that can accommodate up to 4 guests with bunk beds and a separate twin bed with roll-out trundle, mounted flat screen TV, private balcony on the front of the home and full bath with separate tub and walk-in shower. The 5th bedroom on this level features a king bed, TV and lobster-themed full bath with walk-in shower.

Amenities at 8 Gadwall will make you feel like you are staying at your own private resort. The private pool features a heated spa and separate sitting pool with waterfall feature. The pool deck is furnished with tables, chairs and chaise lounges overlooking the pool and backyard with ocean in the background. Spa heat is included with your rental and the pool can be heated for an additional fee. The outdoor living area is a fully furnished covered patio with ceiling fan, grill, mounted TV and fireplace. The garage has been converted into a Game Room with full size ping pong and pool tables, and the home is outfitted with cable and the latest flat screen TVs. Wireless internet is available at no cost to guests.

The location of 8 Gadwall in Sea Pines is unbeatable. The South Beach Marina Village is right across the street and easily walkable, and a network of bike trails will take you from Gadwall to any location you desire within or outside Sea Pines Plantation. Sea Pines is a world-class vacation resort with pristine beaches, miles of biking trails, Lawton Stables with live petting zoo, public golf courses, including Harbour Town Golf Links, Racquet Clubs, shopping, restaurants and fully operational marinas in Harbour Town and South Beach with water sports, fishing charters and live entertainment. Most Sea Pines amenities are open to the public, but some may have parking fees or seasonal rates as determined by the resort.

As usual Destination Vacation did a great job. Had an excellent week. This house has awesome views and lots of room. It would be nice if the beach access had a wooden board walk like Marker 11 but I assume that is nothing the house controls.

Absolutely the best family vacation yet!! This home felt just like home only better. The view of the beach & ocean was gorgeous! We were all very happy with our rooms & with everything that is provided for us to use. Everyone in our family were happy with their accommodations. Such a Beautiful home. The outside family room was our favorite area to spend our time when we were not in the pool. The pool blew us away. Our 3 & 4 year old grandsons learned how to swim under water while we were there. They absolutely loved this pool & so did the rest of us. The wading pool was so much fun for our granddaughter who turned one while there & the almost 2 year old. Such a good idea with the waterfalls. Loved hearing the water while laying back doing nothing but enjoying life. Turned out to be beautiful everyday even after the scare of the water & hurricane. This was our 5th house to stay in Sea Pines. Our favorite so far. I hope we can return again if the good Lord agrees. Thank you for all your help during the process & helping to put my mind at ease during the hurricane scare. The only thing I can think of that would need to be done is to have standing toilet paper holders in a few of the bathrooms & the frig in the basement was not working well. Did not get drinks cold. Not much to complain about. Could use an ice maker. Thank you!

The service leading up to our arrival was exceptional. The informational emails was very helpful and I received our arrival packet more weeks in advance of our stay. Thanks. The house was very well appointed, the kitchen lacked nothing and the rooms were comfortable without feeling sterile like a hotel or too homey like you are staying in someones house. We have rented properties through Destination Vacation Hilton Head several times and have always been very pleased with their level of service and assistance. This particular home was lovely and perfect for our family gathering of 16. We had no issues with this beautiful home and would rent it again. The view was amazing and amenities/layout outstanding.
