11 Sandhill Crane ~ Sea Pines

Spacious 4th Row Sea Pines home with 6 bedrooms plus sleeper sofa den, 6.5 baths, private pool and spa. This home sleeps up to 20 people and features impressive upgrades without sacrificing the comforts you expect from your vacation beach home.

Upon entering the home, the gorgeous wood flooring leads you to the spacious living room with high ceilings, walls of windows, fireplace, large flat screen TV and comfortable leather furniture. The living room features French doors that open to the rear deck overlooking the private pool (which can be heated for an additional charge) and spa (which is heated complimentary with your rental). Adjacent to the living room are the dining area and open kitchen featuring granite countertops and wainscoting.

There are 4 bedrooms on the main floor with the living room and kitchen. At the end of the hall is the master suite with King bed and large private bath. The second bedroom on this floor has 2 queen beds, TV and a full bath, and a third bedroom has a queen bed with full bath with French doors to the rear deck. The laundry area with washer and dryer are also on the first floor, along with an additional half bath and small den/4th bedroom with TV, sleeper sofa and chairs.

The stairs to the second level are split into two areas. To the left is a bedroom with a king bed, full bath and TV. To the right are two bedrooms, the first being a large "kids" room that sleeps up to 6 people with 2 sets of bunk beds, TV, game table and chairs and full bath. Both bunk beds have a double mattress on the bottom and twin mattress on top. The other bedroom next door is a second master suite with king bed, TV and full bath with double vanity.

The swimming pool, spa and grilling area are located behind the house and offer plenty of room to sunbathe and relax, and the walk to the beach is short and pedestrian friendly. The location within Sea Pines offers a world-class vacation resort outside your front door with pristine beaches, miles of biking trails, Lawton Stables with live petting zoo, public golf courses, including Harbour Town Golf Links, Racquet Clubs, shopping, restaurants and fully operational marinas in Harbour Town and South Beach with water sports, fishing charters and live entertainment. Most Sea Pines amenities are open to the public, but some may have parking fees or seasonal rates as determined by the resort. The house was great for my family of 10. We had ample space and loved how easy it was to access the beach or lounge by the pool. We were very impressed by the house in person and felt like it was even better than the pictures. Everyone from Destination Vacation was very responsive and helpful as well. We had an issue with the grill on the first day but after calling the office someone came out almost immediately to fix it. Overall would highly recommend this place!

The home had more than enough room for our family with enough bedrooms and bathrooms. However all the bathrooms need another towel rack In addition to the one there. The pool and spa were great. The path to get to the walkway to the beach was very confusing and needs to be improved. Our family enjoyed our week on HHI and hope to do it again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 11 Sandhill Crane. The house is beautiful and in a great location. Easy and convenient walk to the beach and close to the back gate of Sea Pines is a plus. Very quiet and private location. The house is huge and is perfect for multiple families. When upstairs, we would not hear what was going on downstairs - which was great for our young children who go to bed early. Our kids loved the room with the bunk beds, which could easily sleep 4-6 children. The two master suites are very large and have a ton of closet space. The pool was great and really warmed up by the afternoon. The heated hot tub was also a great perk of this house. There are no beach supplies provided (chairs, buggy, toys, etc.) or pool toys - which are not advertised with the house so we weren't expecting them, but important to know to definitely bring your own. The kitchen had everything we needed, including coffee maker, ice machine in the fridge, etc. DV provided ample towels for the kitchen and bathrooms and a great amount of soap and cleaning supplies that lasted us the week. We could not have been happier with our stay and will be back!

We had a terrific two week vacation in Hilton Head! The house was great--lots of room, best thing about it was the location--close to the beach but tucked away so it felt very private. The kitchen was well equipped and big. A few suggestions: I would upgrade the porch and pool furniture--it has a lot of stains on it and didn't feel that new. It would also have been nice to have a few chairs on the porch in the back to sit on in the evening. Not sure you can do anything about it but the pool gets very dirty very quickly from all the trees--would be great to get the pool cleaned maybe one more time while we were there. The TVs were very hard to figure out how to use and we couldn't get a few off them to work--too many remotes! It would be nice to have some pool/beach towels as well.
