8 Flotilla ~ Palmetto Dunes

Located in the private Palmetto Dunes community, this grand oceanfront home is the perfect blend of luxury and comfort. High end appointments, from the tile floors to the custom cabinets, countertops and mouldings, are balanced with plush furniture, multiple living areas and stunning ocean views from both levels. 8 Flotilla offers exceptional amenities, such as private pool (can be heated for additional charge), spa, gas grill, 2-car garage, two fireplaces, multiple balconies and outdoor sitting areas. The home features six bedrooms, six and a half baths and sleeps up to 18 guests.

The 1st floor of this home features the perfect gathering area with a family room and fully equipped wet bar. The family room has a horseshoe shaped sectional sofa, large screen TV, game table and chairs and ocean views, and the bar area has a Keurig coffee maker, toaster, mini-refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and bar stools at the counter. The bedrooms on this level include a Master with king bed and ocean views, a Guest bedroom with king bed and ocean views and a Guest bedroom with a queen bed and separate daybed with trundle. The laundry room is also on the first floor and offers a full-size spare refrigerator and freezer.

The second level was designed to fully capture the ocean views and features a living room with sectional sofa, cathedral ceilings and large windows, adjacent breakfast area, gourmet kitchen with bar stool counter, formal dining room and a second den with oversized chair, sleeper sofa and private balcony overlooking the ocean. The second level bedrooms include a Master suite with king bed and private oceanside balcony, Guest bedroom with king bed and private bath, and a Guest bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds (4 twin mattresses). All bedrooms on both floors have private full baths and their own flat screen TV's.

The oceanfront pool is 16x32 and features a raised Spa. Spa heat is included with your rental and the pool can be heated for an additional fee. The sunny pool deck offers lounge chairs and tables for the perfect vacation experience. The 2-car garage is available for guests, as well, and includes a ping pong table and a third refrigerator/freezer.

Palmetto Dunes is a world-class vacation resort with pristine beaches, miles of biking trails, world-class tennis center, golf courses, and Shelter Cove Marina with shopping, restaurants, fishing charters and boat rentals.

Although, there were a couple minor issues with our stay Destination Vacations was on top of everything. Callie and Gail were always professional, helpful and friendly. Location is amazing and house was very suitable for 14 guests. I have been coming to Hilton Head for 20 years and stayed in all the different areas but Palmetto Dunes and 8 Flotilla is the one for my family.

Destination Vacation Team went above and beyond expectations! Our ice maker in the house did not work and they delivered bags of ice every other day so we would not be without! This saved lots of money and time! Loved our house at 8Flotilla and repented for next year!! Great company and house. We have been coming to HHI for 30 something years and found our home!!!

One of our very best rental experiences! The home was ready upon arrival (and we were even a few minutes early....clean, cool and beautiful. We were amazed by well-equipped kitchen, the quality and types of cookware, dishes, glasses, appliances - all of it. With three oceanfront "master bedrooms" and 3 choices of living room/great room areas everyone their own "space" with full oceanfront views and easy access to the pool, hot tub and beach. First of all the pool was very clean, well-maintained and so much larger than most rentals. The heated hot tub/spa was very big hit. Highly recommend 8 Flotilla for family gatherings.

The house suited our needs perfectly!! The air conditioner in the upstairs main room wasn’t working well but a call to Destination Vacations solved the problem. We will definitely rent this home again!
