While on a regular drive through Sea Pines, today, we passed this flock of Roseate Spoonbills feeding in a shallow body of water and their bright pink plumage was so eye-catching against the sky's blue reflection in the water and the green pasture behind them. Such a beautiful sight! In case you're curious, the pink coloration comes from their carotenoid-rich diet of shrimp and crustaceans!
