The Story Behind the Home

"Our daughter graduated from Wake Forest University in 1990 and came to Hilton Head for her first job.  We came from Minnesota to visit her and fell in love with the island.  Our family soon found a condominium to invest in as a second home--1844 Beachside Tennis Villas.  What a wonderful decision.  We started renting it out and staying here ourselves when we could.  Our friends and family have always enjoyed visiting us, and feedback from renters tells us that they love the unit and the island as much as we do.

We love this unit because we can look at the ocean from this top floor, listen to ocean waves pounding, follow the dolphins that swim by, watch ocean ships going into the Savannah harbor, and admire all the boats heading to the ocean.  South Beach offers many things to do. We can walk straight to the ocean to bike or swim, play one hour of free tennis daily on the courts next door, walk to the marina, home of the Salty Dog Café and other shops and restaurants, fish, and bike around Sea Pines on the bike paths or along the ocean, because the sand is like concrete.

In addition to South Beach, Sea Pines Plantation is home to the famous Harbor Town Marina and lighthouse, the Beach Club, Tower Beach, numerous shops, and golf courses.  Hilton Head's 12 mile long island is full of things to enjoy--theater, restaurants, shopping, golf, art, museums, music, car shows, and numerous special events.

For the 2018 rental season we have updated 1844 BST with new furnishings.  We now have all new furniture, light fixtures, artwork, bedding, flooring, freshly painted walls and upgraded TVs.  There is free Wifi and stereo music in all rooms.  Sonos is a free app to download and play any radio, Pandora, or your own pre-recorded music over the stereo system.

We know you will enjoy the unit, the view, and the location."
